Join us as IFTRIP goes virtual this October...

Given the continued uncertainty regarding international travel guidelines, quarantine, and social distancing, etc., the IFTRIP Presidency and Secretariat have acknowledged that it is unlikely that this year’s conference could be held with us all physically present in one location. It is vital to keep the industry networking and ensure our delegates stay up to date with the latest thinking and discussions around the risks posed by extreme events. Accordingly, we are excited to announce the first ever virtual International Terrorism (Re)Insurance conference: IFTRIP LIVESTREAM 2020, October 13, 14 and 15.

Across three days, IFTRIP LIVESTREAM will bring panels and presentations to life on a virtual stage with an impressive array of high profile figures discussing six pivotal themes in in the field of counter terrorism, security, risk and (re)insurance.

Each day will consist of two live panel discussions with Q&A over 1.5 hours and will be accompanied by a wide variety of on-demand presentations, supporting resources and downloads. Virtual networking events will also enable delegates to engage with the international terrorism reinsurance industry. Furthermore, IFTRIP LIVESTREAM will be free to attend, and by eliminating the need to travel, should attract a broader audience.

We believe that this will be a pivotal conference, particularly given the prominence that public private partnerships and disaster risk sharing mechanisms have now assumed as governments and the insurance industry consider how to provide insurance for difficult to insure perils.

We have already gathered an extraordinary selection of speakers and our intention is to bring together this global community of experts from the industry, alongside business decision-makers, in a new virtual environment to learn and connect. We hope that you will continue to save the date in your diary so as to be able to join us in this exciting new venture.

Further details will follow in due course.

Kind regards,

The IFTRIP Organising team
